Annual Floating Lights Parade Part Of Lake Event

Lago Rico and the Marinas of Elephant Butte Lake will hold their annual Floating Lights Parade on Saturday December 12 at 6:30 p.m. The annual extravaganza of beautifully decorated boats sets sail from Marina del Sur, heading toward the Luminaria Beachwalk where judging will take place. There will be prizes given out for first, second and third place.
The Grand Marshal for this year’s parade will be Andrew Finzgen, the newly appointed city manager for Elephant Butte. This is Finzgen’s first parade and luminaria walk as city manager. Come out and say hello and welcome this young man to our community…

Floating Lights Parade &  Luminaria Beach Walk

Lago Rico, Inc., the operator of Elephant Butte Lake’s marinas and the historic Damsite Recreation Area is pleased to announce the return of the annual Floating Lights Parade to the waters of beautiful Elephant Butte Lake on Saturday December 13 at 6:30 p.m.
This will be the twentieth annual running of the parade of extravagantly lit boats on the lake.
According to Neal Brown, President of Lago Rico, Inc., “The Floating Lights Parade is a very special tradition, it is a community party like no other. The work that goes into these boat displays is amazing. With this being the twentieth anniversary, we are hoping for a big turnout, and are looking forward to twenty more.”
