A Denver, Colorado man was killed as a result of a motorcycle crash Monday night, October 1 on I-25.
New Mexico State Police Lt. Robert McDonald stated that Anthony Scott, 55, of Denver, Colorado was traveling northbound on I-25 around mile marker 62 just before 10 p.m. on a 1979 Harley Davidson motorcycle when he left the roadway for an unknown reason. Scott reportedly traveled off the eastbound shoulder and the bike collided with two trees before coming a stop.
Lt. McDonald said that Scott was found lying next to the motorcycle with a severe head wound and was not wearing a helmet. While inventorying the items at the crash site, a helmet was found in a bag, still strapped to the back of the motorcycle.
Alcohol was not a factor in the accident, according to police.
