The option to renew your subscription will appear on this page once your subscription has expired. You will have to Log In to renew.

If you are a current subscriber and would like for your subscription to renew automatically each year, please email us or call 575 894 3088 and we will set your subscription to “recurring” status. Please be aware that once your subscription has been set to “recurring” status, you will be charged annually on the day your subscription renews.

If you are not yet a subscriber you can register for a User Name and purchase the subscription of your choice, with the option to Auto Renew, here:

When subscribing, be sure to uncheck the “Auto Renew” box if you do not want your subscription to be renewed automatically.

When purchasing a subscription from this website, please untick the box next to “Auto Renew” if you would prefer to renew your subscription manually each year.


The Sentinel is published weekly, and is delivered to newsstands and local subscribers Friday morning.  Copies go out to mail subscribers before noon on Friday.  Digital subscribers can log in first thing Friday morning to view the latest issue as well as past issues.


All subscriptions are for one year and begin with the current issue.

Local vs. Out of Town / Area Code 879

Subscribers residing within area code 879 qualify for local delivery. US Mail delivery is used for all other zip codes, including Hillsboro (88042).

Back Issues

Back issues may be purchased online or from the office for $2 US dollars each.


E-Subscribers are able to read the paper using any web browser (Firefox, Chrome, Safari, Internet Explorer, etc.). Once you’ve purchased your E-Subscription please Log In then visit the Subscriber Issues page to view all available issues of the Sierra County Sentinel.

Digital subscriptions cannot be shared.  If your subscription is accessed from an IP address that is not associated with your account, you run the risk of cancellation.  If we cancel your subscription due to subscription sharing, you will be notified.
